In November, ASX shares have been performing impressively, with the S&P/ASX 200 Index making significant gains. On Thursday, the ASX 200 surged by 0.9%, almost touching the 6,900 mark at 6,899.7 points, buoyed by positive results in the American markets.

Financials shares saw gains, as the S&P/ASX 200 Financials Index rose by 1.43%. Healthcare stocks also had a good day, with the S&P/ASX 200 Healthcare Index increasing by 1.38%. Consumer discretionary shares were not far behind, with the S&P/ASX 200 Consumer Discretionary Index vaulting up by 0.89%. Mining stocks had a moderate day, with the S&P/ASX 200 Materials Index moving higher by 0.54%. Finally, ASX consumer staples shares inched up by 0.19%.
